Dear Sirs,
We acknowledge the receipt of your letter dated______________ wherein you have held us responsible for delay in the delivery of the consignment.
We fully agree, that the consignment had reached Delhi in ten days as the Delhi-Punjab and Delhi-Haryana borders were sealed and entry in the capital was barred for nine days.
Secondly, while hiring our services, you did not mention the nature of the goods contained in the boxes. If we had the knowledge of the perishable nature of the goods, we would have tried our best to make alternate arrangements to either deliver the goods to your valued customers, in the shortest possible time or send the same back to you. In the existing circumstances, we are not liable to compensate for the damage caused. We suggest you to get your goods insured against any eventuality to avoid losses in future.
We assure you of our best services and attention always.
Thanking you,
Yours faithfully,
