• The Supreme Court has original jurisdiction over some type of cases that come directly before it. These are cases in which

1. 1. The dispute is between Union Government and one or more States
   2. Between the Union Government and one or more States on the one side and one or mote States on the other side
   3. Between two States.

• Cases relating to Fundamental Rights and interpretation of the Constitution can originally be brought before the Supreme Court.
