Constitutional Provisions for an Independent Judiciary :
(i) Judicial authority should in no case be dependent upon the executive and legislature. Judges should be free from all executive and legislative control.
(ii) The executive should not have the power to remove or dismiss judges. They should be removable only on legal grounds. A judge should be appointed for a longer period or for life. A judge must receive a salary high enough to enable him to lead a life consistent with his status and high office.
