When the supporting plates of lithosphere made up of rocks crash into one another producing mountains, volcanoes and earthquakes, then a part of the lower lithosphere falls down into magma in the mantle of earth. This material of lithosphere melts and becomes a part of magma. This magma emerges from the vents present elsewhere on the earth’s surface and solidifies there in the form of rocks. Thus, the material which was removed from lithosphere during the various earth processes is regenerated into the lithosphere after some time. From this discussion we conclude that the material of lithosphere is constantly being recycled by the processes taking place inside the earth.
