Different topics that should be covered in teaching of geography in classes iii & iv are as follows:
(i) Narrating stories the students are told stories about the places and things with which they are familiar or which they have seen.
To acquaint the students with various things teacher may resort to question-answer method.

(ii) Whatever is told to the students is simultaneously written on the black-board. It helps to strengthen the knowledge of the students.
(iii) An effort is made not to use text-book method at this stage of education.
(iv) An effort is made to make the teaching interesting so that students may not feel bored.
(v) The oral method of teaching be used at this stage and examination too should be oral. Teacher should not insist upon written work by the child.
