Today I am going to throw light on the topic “You can take a horse to water but you can’t make it drink”.
I appreciated Napoleon Hill for his farsightedness when he said that Whatever the mind of a man conceive & believe, the mind can achieve.
Similarly the proverb in itself means that a person can be helped by others if he himself have something to do & the motivation to act comes from the burning desire to achieve a purpose & this is the starting point of all accomplishments. Just as in the absence of fire you can’t have heat & in the absence of base you can’t have a strong building.

Similarly in the absence of will to act you can’t have results & then all the knowledge & resources are just worthless. Through the passage of life every day, every hour, every minute we come across different situations.
People can guide what is right & what is wrong. what to do & what not to, how, when & why but at the end of the day it’s our decision whether to do it or not. A potter can only be helped by his tools if he wants to mend the pot. Also there have been many great personalities like Stephen Hawking, Helen Adams Keller, Hillary Bates, Sudha Chandran etc. who have touched heights by their strong will-power & firm determination.
Hillary Bates though blind & deaf, achieved an award for maximizing her abilities by using strength of character, confidence & self-determination.
So, to conclude I would just like to say that people can guide, help, awake & aware us but its you who have to think & act. As you can lead a horse to water but you can’t make it drink.
