Euphoria ! Today it was really a great time to see the launch of Joomla 1.5.12. In this newly introduced version many significant security changes has been made and thus all the Joomla users should instantly upgrade their old version Joomla website to this new version.

But here, the big question is “Why should you upgrade your website to the latest version of Joomla?” Well, it is always advisable to always be upgraded with the latest version of Joomla as well as with all the third party extensions used, for security reasons, such as hacking, sql injection etc.
Many lazy Joomla webmasters don’t upgrade their website and end up posting in the forum like “Joomla sucks ! My website has been hacked!”. I have already upgraded my blog.. have you ?

Procedure for updating from Joomla 1.5.11 to Joomla 1.5.12 ?

First of all, take a back up of your entire website or blog. (Including the database and image files)

Now, download Joomla 1.5.11 to 1.5.12 Upgrade Package from the official website of Joomla.

Unzip the downloaded file.

Upload all the unzipped file to the server.

And it’s all done.
Note : Back up is must ! You must take the backup of your website before upgrading it to the latest version.
