On the basis of scale, the entrepreneurs are classified into following categories:

1. Large Scale Industry entrepreneur:

The characteristics of large scale industry entrepreneur are:

a) Large number of workers;

b) Power driven machines;

c) Continuous supply of raw materials; and

d) One organization.

2. Medium Scale Industry entrepreneur:

These entrepreneurs are those persons who are engaged in industries which are working on optimum size where there is maximum efficiency in production.

3. Small Scale Industry entrepreneur:

An undertaking having an investment in plant and machinery of not more than Rs. 1 crore.
