India has many races, castes, sub-castes, religions, communities, languages and dialects. But the heart of India is one. In spite of the diversities, the people are united. Our scriptures are the storehouses of spiritual wisdom. The West is fast inclining towards our spiritual values. The Revolt of 1857 was the first time in Indian history that people from all walks of life stood together against a common enemy. The divide and rule policy of the British resulted in the partition of India into India and Pakistan. Today certain anti-national forces are trying to disrupt the unity of the country. We should not follow the negative aspects of the West. We should bury our differences and work unitedly. The Indian culture has always been tolerant of different cultures. India is a secular country. Our culture heritage serves as a bond of unity between people of different faiths and creeds.
