Dear Samta,
I hope this finds you and Jeejaji in the best of health and spirit.
It is more than three months since you were married and left for Mumbai, but to my utter surprise I am not in receipt of a single letter from you. I fail to understand why you have not been able to write a letter to us so far. Are you so preoccupied with Jeejaji that you have forgotten all—Papa, Mummy and me? I wish that both of you should always be happy but at the same time I would ask you to write to us from time to time. Also do not forget to write letters to Papa. I found Mummy very much worried about you when I visited her last time about seven days back.
How is Mumbai? Before marriage how crazy you were to see Mumbai and now I think you must have visited all the important places there.
ADVERTISEMENTS:
We are all very well here. Your Jeejaji often remembers you. Rohit has now started lisping. Rajiv goes to school. In the beginning after his admission we found it a hard task to send him to school. Thanks to the care and affection shown to him by his teachers, he is now always eager to reach school in time.
Rest is fine. With love from all of us.
Yours lovingly,

My dear,
I am highly delighted to receive your letter just now and am replying by the first mail.
I am really sorry for the delay in writing to you and to dear Papa but it was all unavoidable as for over two and a half months we were out of Mumbai. We visited Allahabad, Banaras, Lucknow, Calcutta Poona and Bangalore. All these places are very beautiful. I have not yet seen Mumbai in full but I have been to some important places. Mumbai is a really very beautiful city, all agog with life. We went to the sea beach to witness the beauty of the sunrise over there. We went to see the Elephant caves which are situated on an island not very far from the city. The scenic beauty of the place beggars description. I invite you to visit Mumbai. Your Jeejaji too will be very happy to have you in our midst. With the grace of God he is having very good business. We have an independent bungalow of our own, furnished with all modern amenities. I am fortunate to get full love of my in-laws, particularly of my mother-in-law.

I am happy to learn that Rohit has started lisping and Raju has started going to school. Kiss these chaps on my behalf.
With deep love and regard from us.
