ADVERTISEMENTS:
Dear Sir,
I shall be thankful if you publish this letter in the columns of your esteemed newspaper. Through this, I like to draw the attention of local authorities towards the increasing nuisance of beggars in our city.
Nowadays, the number of beggars has abruptly increased. Everywhere in the city, whether market, park or outside a restaurant or even in every street, you will find such obstinate beggars, who can’t be easily put off. The pity is that most of them are physically fit and are compulsive beggars. They have made it a profession.
Some of them might be involved in committing petty crimes also. Some of the beggars suffer from highly contagious diseases, such as— leprosy, TB etc., and while begging, they come in contact with general public. It is necessary that such cases be taken care of and be treated in General Hospital and the other able bodied beggars be taken to the task. Either they be given jobs or whatever, but they must not be allowed to make begging their profession.
ADVERTISEMENTS:
I am sure, the authorities will positively take care of this increasing nuisance of beggars at the earliest.
Thanking you,
Yours faithfully
